Here we are, flirting with autumn colors and cooler weather. Many of us spent the summer coping with high temperatures, uncomfortable humidity, and record-breaking rainfall. And that’s just the weather!

Nationally, we are in the midst of election campaigns, and internationally, broadcasts report intense crises and disasters.

Sometimes, it’s good to take a time-out. Reading a good book is one way to do that. While we do not claim to have a foothold on all good books, we do offer an interesting variety of genres and storylines.

September 2nd marks the 79th anniversary of the end of World War II and this month, our newsletter centers on the theme of Remembering History

THE LITTLE DUTCH GIRLS

The Little Dutch Girls

This historical fiction novel showcases the lives of three young women who joined the Dutch Resistance to thwart the Nazi takeover of their country. They were brave, innovative, and unrelenting in their pursuit of peace for Belgium. The trio was a testament to stirring sufficient passion to risk their lives on a day-to-day basis. And to prove that not only men undertook the perils of war-time resistance.
